Biography:
Noëlle Turner (b. 1993) is a British visual artist based in London. Working with water-based media alongside oil painting and collage, Turner moves between chance-led processes and acts of control. Paintings are dyed, cut, stitched, printed and repeatedly reworked, allowing each piece to dictate its own form. Some remain entirely abstract as energetic fields of stained colour, while others move towards narrative as figures appear or letters are stencilled onto the surface.
Drawing on personal memory, fantasy, alchemy and the language of the unconscious, Turner constructs strange worlds. Questions of selfhood, animism and the cosmic permeate the work, reflecting a broader interest in transformation, loss and becoming.

Noëlle Turner earned her BA in Fine Art from The Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford, 2015, and her MFA in Fine Art at Goldsmiths University, 2024.
